The object

The Triangulum Galaxy is a delicate spiral galaxy whose structure rewards a lighter hand in both capture and processing. Its scattered HII regions give it character, but the challenge is to let them stand out without overwhelming the broader shape of the galaxy.

This image combines broadband and narrowband data to preserve the galaxy’s overall structure while giving definition to the active star-forming regions distributed along its arms.

Capture notes

The final integration combines LRGB with Hα and OIII data, allowing both the softer broadband structure and the brighter emission regions to coexist in the same image.

Processing

Processing focused on balancing the spiral structure, the brighter core regions, and the emission details revealed by the narrowband channels.

The goal was to keep the result cohesive and natural, without making the Hα and OIII contributions feel disconnected from the underlying galaxy.
